Dr. Changala is a board-certified physician in Psychiatry specialized in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with mental health issues. She completed a general psychiatry residency and an additional 2-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. She has extensive experience in the treatment of ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and wide range of psychiatric diagnoses. She has special interest in childhood trauma and adverse childhood life events. She worked in Lab of Neurophenomics and co-authored publications related to identifying genes in schizophrenia. She also published a scientific paper on ECT (Electroconvulsive therapy) in schizophrenic patient with neuroleptic malignant syndrome. She also presented on topic related to systems of care in case of autism spectrum disorder at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry annual conference. Dr. Changala is committed to providing quality care using empirically supported treatments coupled with compassion. She believes in treating children in the context of family, school and social systems. She sees children from age five and adults to age 60.
