Psychiatric Evaluation

Addiction gains a foothold when a person experiences trauma and/or psychiatric illness and uses substances for the purposes of self-medication. A holistic approach to alcohol and drug addiction treatment incorporates medical treatment of co-occurring psychiatric conditions, medication to manage withdrawal and diminish cravings, psychotherapy, and 12-step program attendance. Our psychotherapists work with patients on uncovering the roots of addiction and improving self-care and social rehabilitation.
